STAINLESS STELL

Stainless steel is a steel that has a particularly high degree of purity. The sulphur and phosphorus content is max. 0.035%. It is a steel to which various alloying metals are added. These can be cobalt, nickel or chromium, among others.

Grades:

e.g. corrosion-resistant stainless steels (1.4301, 1.4571), heat-resistant stainless steels (1.4828)

Product properties/ advantages:

  • High thermal resistance
  • Smooth surface
  • Versatile, as it can be welded and machined
  • High thermal conductivity
  • Chemically resistant
  • Usually high corrosion resistance (depending on type of stainless steel)
